Two Weeks

Jesus has been so faithful. Everyday he’s always there for me picking me up and providing me with strength. I just finished reading the Gospel of Luke. It was so wonderful. The Spirit spoke to me so much when reading it. I could hardly manage setting it down. I only have 6 more books left of the New Testament. I’m so excited in drawing closer to Jesus. I want to use the wisdom i’ve been learning to bless those around me. Jesus is so faithful. My small group and i went to the beach this monday. I really enjoyed it. We all went body surfing. Pretty cool. Last weeks lectures were so awesome. It was on the Holy Spirit. I really enjoyed my time learning. This week has been good too. The lectures this week are on “missions”. Its been really cool looking into the Gospels on the different disciples ministries. Its going to be a little strange this Christmas not experiencing winter for the first time. We will probably have a BBQ on the beach to celebrate Jesus. Its Summer here right now, so the weather has been beautiful. I leave for outreach in soon. I’m going to Thailand and Cambodia. I’ll be there for two months and then will slowly make my way back home. Thank You all for keeping me in your prayers .

Church Serving Week

This week my outreach team for thailand and I spent this week serving at a local church in Rangeoria. It was pretty awesome being able to donate time to serve at this local baptist church. Our team spent time doing prepwork in each room for repainting as well as some rewiring. We then spend time repainting three rooms as well as painting a giant mural in the main lounge. We have an artist in our team which made this mural possible. Our team also did landscape work around to clean up. It was great meeting new people and building new friendships. The Lord has grown me so much this week in just my quiet times. He is so faithful to me. Jesus has been teaching me so much and drawing me deeper. I love Jesus so much. I want my life to be proof of Jesus. I love him So much. He is my first Love and my number One.

Word of God

I’ve been doing so awesome lately.  This week I learned about the character of God and last week was God our Father week. My heart is so hungry for growing more with Jesus.  I love Him so much.  I’ve been reading through the new testiment.  I started with phillipians and I’ve read the books up to revelations.  I’ll be starting that tomorrow.  Then i’ll read Matthew up to ephesians.  I’m just so excited reading the Word of God.  I’ve been also reading a book called “The Heavenly Man”.  Its been so awesome.  The book is about a pastor from China and all the persecution he’s been through.  I’ve been doing awesome though.  I love Jesus so much.  I would appreciate prayer.  Thank you so much.

Dreads

So yesterday was such an awesome day.  I was able to just relax and enjoy Gods creation.  Different groups were out doing weekend activities and i was able to do my laundry, spend time with Jesus and do a bit of crocheting.  I’ve been working on making a tam. Later after dinner i went to my leaders Benny and Lindsy’s house and they dreaded my hair.  Four and a half hours later i had dreadlocks.  Last night was really good though.  A great time of fellowship.  One of the things i learned this week is to take time to be still.  Going somewhere to spend time with Jesus and just listen to Him. We are human Beings.  Not human doings.  Thats a funny way to put it but i want to be able to just be able to sit in God’s creation and just be still and listen to Him.  Its awesome.  Today has been an amazing day too.  I go to this local baptist church down the road on weekends.  The people there are so nice and friendly.  They have joy written all over there faces.  The messages there are pretty awesome as well.  They go right along with where my heart is at.  Being so hungry for God and growing in him intimately.  I love Jesus so much.  He is so amazing.  I would like to thank everyone and they’re prayers.  I also need some prayer on financial help.  I’m going to need to raise more money.  My outreach is in thailand and my funds are short some.  So prayer there would be awesome.  I would also like prayer for the people I build friendships with and the people i meet.  That God’s light would shine brighter than ever.  I have a heart for people and showing them Christ’s love.    Thank You all for all the prayers.  I really appreciate them.

Christchurch

I’m so blessed by Jesus each day. When i wake up my first words have to be giving thanks to my creator. I love him so much and have been drawing closer when i spend time with him. I’ve been reading through the new testiment. I started wtih Philipians and and have been going book by book. This morning i read Peter’s Gospal. I’ve been learning through the letters of Paul how much he loved Jesus. Paul really walked with the Lord. He was so adiment about how imported our relationship with Jesus is. I dont understand how a person sitting in prison writing letters to the different churches can stay encouraged and past His circumstances. Paul is so awesome. I just get so excited when reading stuff like this. God has been so awesome to me though. I’m so excited about the rest of today. I’m going into Christchurch for the skateministy tonight. I appreciate the prayers.

Oxford

This weekend was amazing.  I read the book “the God Chasers” by Tommy Tenny which was pretty awesome.  THere was a lot of cool things to think about and apply in my life.  The main idea in the book was having intimacy with Christ and being hungry for him.  Reading the book really gave me a different outlook in what God desires for our relationship with Him.  This weekend i went to the Christchurch skatepark.  That has been the ministry i’ve been involved with the past few weeks.  Kids are starting to get to know me and i’m being blessed with the opportunity to get to know them.  Part of ministry is allowing others to get to know you.  May I be salt and light to the world where they will see Jesus in me.  I’m looking forward to the kids their being able to open up about there home life and allowing to share to them about mine.  Listening is huge.  This weekend was awesome though.  I’m so hungry for more and more of Jesus. I really am excited in furthering and pursuing hard after Jesus.  I love Him so much and am understanding He is the very reason I love people.  I have a heart for the Lost.  This is one of the kids i met.  He’s really awesome and real.  Not fake.  I appreciate all the prayers and support from my friends and family back home in the states.

West coast

Well, today is so amazing. Its tuesday and its lunchtime. Last weekend i went on a short trip for the night camping out at the West coast. It was really beautiful and i enjoyed it. Jesus is so awesome. Yesterday my smallgroup Biked to Ashly gorge. It was really fun. I had a blast and got to find out that i need to get in better shape. I mean, i made it there and back 10 miles. Well it was really fun and i enjoyed it as well. I really am enjoying the lectures. This week is on Biblical worldview. It is so awesome. I’m really liking it. I am going to thailand for my outreach. I’m so excited about it. We have five different teams. India napal, middle east- joran, Israel, egypt a team that will be staying at a house somewhere on the south island here in new zealand, a team that will travel new zealand and a thailand team. I’m so excited about it. I’m pretty possitive i have the majority of my funds but i’ll find out soon if i need to raise anymore. Jesus is so amazing and i love where he is taking me and how i’ve been growing. May my pride die each and everyday. Today is beautiful and i’m really enjoying the sunny weather. I’m going to go see whats for lunch. Thank you so much for everyones prayers. They mean the most.

Rain

It rained today. Reminds me of back home in Washington. Last night we had a crazy thunder and lightning storm right above our base. It was crazy. Shook the room. I fell asleep ok though. Back to today. Awesome, the lecture and lectures all this week have been amazing. Jesus has been so awesome. I love my quiet times with him. Its the best. We’ve been learning about Hearings the voice of God, also about worship and what it is. Amazing. Today our speaker was teaching on Humility and about the fear of the Lord. Its been awesome to evaluate my life and see areas i struggle in and take them to Jesus. A big thing i want is to let my pride die. I want to see true Humility in my life. I can see God already working on that with me. Its been beautiful here though. I love seeing how amazing my Creator is.

Castle Hill

Its been awesome here this past week. Studying the word of God and experiencing His creation. People here are so awesome and its been great building new friendships. Jesus is so great and wonderful. Yesterday i went to castle hill will the whole bdts group and experienced the surrounding beauty. Mts, boulders, green valleys. Some people bouldered, others went on treks around the sourounding mountains while others returned to do some rock climbing. I had a blast. One of the things God taught me yesterday is how small i am and how huge his creation is. He is so perfect and i am so imperfect. Later in the day i got to spend some time with some friends playing a game called catch phrase. Jesus is so amazing and i love him so much.

So cool

Today has been so awesome. Between lectures and serving it has been amazing. Todays lecture started with the topic of worship ended with some corperate worship. Later today after lunch was followed by another aweosme lecture. It was on hearing God’s voice. Way aweosme. The speakers here so far are so amazing. Yesterday’s lecture was awesome too. My small group, leader and I went to wyamack gorge to kick it and share our testimonies. What an awesome time. This school is just so amazing and God is teaching me so much so far.
